Creating the ETW Garden - The first of the (not very) Green Fingered Files

So we got outdoors for a few hours on Friday, between the rain showers, and when I was feeling able (had my first covid jab on Thursday so felt pretty rough).
We moved tyres into position, ready to be filled, cleaned and painted (not necessarily in that order) so we can grow our own veggies (Mr.3yo very excited about this) and so we can have a nature/medicinal herb/bees and butterfly area, and also (not pictured) we started marking out the boys digging/construction area.
The plan for this area is 3 tyres, filled with sand, soil and stones, on a designated area that is mulched, that they can use their construction vehicles etc on (and hopefully leave the rest of the garden and path in one piece).
You may notice we are using a lot of tyres - there is a very good reason for this. GrandadETW is a mechanic with a garage. I strongly believe in using/reusing/upcycling what you already have before buying more or new.
I've never really been much of a gardener - I've kept a few herbs alive, and some succulents; and had a very successful Chili plant a few years ago, so we will be relying on google, GrandmaETW and any other advice I get, along with a lot of fingers crossed and prayer.
